Installed section
| Opening width (A) | Field-verify |
|---|---|
| Lowest point (B) | 8'-9" assumed |
| Safety buffer | 3" |
| Posted clearance | 8'-6" (B − 3") |
| Bar length | 10'-0" (120") |

| Suspension drop | To be confirmed |
| Bar weight | About 36 lb |
- 1.Opening width (A) is measured at the narrowest point between the walls or posts the bar spans. The bar is cut to leave 6" clear at each side.
- 2.Lowest overhead point (B) is measured from the driving surface to the lowest beam, pipe, sprinkler, sign or door track anywhere along the lane, not only at the entrance.
- 3.Posted clearance = B − 3" safety buffer. The underside of the bar hangs at the posted clearance. Confirm the posted height with whoever is responsible for the site.
- 4.Hang the bar level and ahead of the obstruction, so a vehicle that is too tall meets the bar before the structure. Distance to the obstruction is set by the installer.
- 5.Suspension drop (mounting point to top of bar, including hardware) was not specified; the manufacturer confirms it with the buyer before production.
- 6.The installer verifies the supporting structure, anchor and hardware suitability, the bar's finished weight (about 36 lb) and its actual outside diameter. Nominal pipe size is not the outside diameter.
- 7.Follow the supplied hardware instructions and the installer's approved mounting plan. Anchors into the building and installation are not included.
- 8.After installation, measure from the driving surface to the underside of the bar at both ends and at the center; record the readings on the checklist sheet.
- 9.This bar is a warning device. It does not stop vehicles. These drawings restate the ordered configuration; they are not a certified installation drawing.

Warranty summary

- Remedy: the bar is remade or refunded at the manufacturer's option, at no cost to the buyer, including return shipping on confirmed defects.
- Claims: report within 7 days of delivery to support@customclearancebars.com with the order number, a description and photos.

Delivery and handling
- Ships LTL freight, factory direct from Vadnais Heights, Minnesota, to the 48 contiguous states. Alaska, Hawaii and U.S. territories: contact the manufacturer.
- Packed in protective crating or bundling on a wooden pallet or skid; bars to one address are generally combined on one pallet.
- Standard delivery is curbside or dock-high. Liftgate, inside delivery, residential delivery and call-before-delivery are available and priced before payment.
- Transit is typically 2 to 7 business days after the freight leaves the facility. The tracking number is emailed when it ships.
- Arrange a reachable on-site contact, unloading equipment or a liftgate, a clear receiving area, and a carrier appointment where required.
- Inspect with the driver and count pieces against the bill of lading. Note "DAMAGED — subject to inspection" or a shortage on the bill before signing, photograph it, keep the packaging, and report within 7 days.
- Storage before installation: Mfr. to confirm
Maintenance and care
- Material: Schedule 40 PVC, which won't rust, rot or corrode and resists UV and weather.
- After installation, measure the finished clearance and compare it with the posted height and every obstruction along the route. Recheck the site before reusing a previous posted clearance.
- A bar that has been struck by a vehicle has done its job; impact damage is not covered by the warranty. Report the strike from the order page: the exact bar is built ahead of the production queue at the normal price, and the report gives a dated incident summary for the insurer.
- After installation, check in on the order page with a photo and the measured height to get a dated Clearance Record. Keep it with the final proof, invoice, delivery receipt and this submittal.
- Cleaning: Mfr. to confirm
- Inspection interval: Mfr. to confirm
