Measure twice, order once.
Two measurements from your entrance give you the bar length and the clearance to print on it, using the same rule as the builder. Works for parking garages, drive-thru lanes, loading docks — anywhere a vehicle might meet a low ceiling.
Your two measurements
Measure across the whole lane, not just the entrance: the lowest point may be a pipe or sprinkler further in.
Your bar
The builder asks the same two measurements. You'll choose thickness, color, wording, night visibility and mounting there, then see the delivered price for your ZIP.
For installers: chain drop from a mounting point
Inches. Uses the posted height above, so enter B first. Measure the finished bar's actual outside diameter; the nominal thickness is not the outside diameter.
Enter the lowest overhead point (B) above first.
This arithmetic does not determine a safe posted clearance. Your installer must account for the lowest obstruction along the whole route, uneven ground, vehicle movement, and the mounting hardware. Measure the finished clearance after installation.
We print what you enter and don't certify clearances. Confirm the posted height with whoever is responsible for the site, and measure again after installation. The installation and delivery guide covers site preparation and receiving your shipment.
