Your installation and delivery guide
Keep this guide with the approved final proof and the hardware manufacturer’s instructions. Installation details depend on your structure and the finished product.
Measure your opening
The builder needs two measurements. The opening width is the narrowest point between the walls or posts the bar spans; the bar is cut to leave 6" clear on each side. The lowest overhead point is the height from the driving surface to the lowest beam, pipe, sprinkler, sign or door track along the lane. We post a clearance 3" under it, and the bar hangs with its bottom at that height. Confirm the posted height with whoever is responsible for the site.
Before production
Check the exact wording, posted clearance, bar length, thickness, finish, stripes, mounting parts, and any requested suspension drop on your final proof. Report any mismatch through your private order link before the shop begins work.
Prepare the site
Have your installer verify the supporting structure, anchor and hardware suitability, finished bar weight and outside diameter, suspension arrangement, and clearance throughout the vehicle path. Nominal pipe diameter is not the outside diameter. The bar warns drivers and does not stop vehicles.
Plan the delivery
Confirm a reachable on-site contact, unloading equipment or liftgate service, access restrictions, and a carrier appointment when required. Keep the receiving area clear and arrange the personnel and equipment needed for the packed shipment.
Receive the shipment
Inspect packaging and accessible contents with the driver. Record visible damage or shortages on the delivery receipt and take photographs before unpacking. Retain packaging and contact support promptly with the order ID and images.
Verify before opening the entrance
Follow the supplied hardware instructions and the installer’s approved mounting plan. Measure the actual finished clearance after installation and compare it with the posted height and every obstruction along the route. Do not use the configurator preview as a certified installation drawing.
Keep the record
After installation, check in on your order page with a photo of the hung bar and the measured height to get a dated Clearance Record. Retain it with the final proof, invoice and delivery receipt. If a bar is struck, report it from your order page: the exact bar is built ahead of the production queue at the normal price. Recheck the site before reusing any previous posted clearance.
